ADDICTA’S MAJOR RESEARCH AREAS

The following are some of the major research areas in which papers solicited in ADDICTA; however, not just limited to those subtopics given below:

1. The main topics of the journal: It is included but not limited to addictions to tobacco, alcohol, drugs, technology, internet, gaming, gambling, shopping, sex-pornography, working, eating. Research on the specific internet addictions such as online gaming disorder, online gambling/betting and online sex/pornography are also welcomed.

2. Evidence-based prevention, intervention and treatment practices for substance use and behavioral addiction

3. Evidence-based epidemiological studies for substance use and behavioral addiction

4. Etiological studies for substance use and behavioral addiction

5. New products and applications relevant to addictions

6. Identification and management of public health consequences of substance use and behavioral addiction

7. Societal studies against struggling with addictions

8. Tobacco, alcohol, drug and behavioral addiction control policies and advocacy work against struggling with addictions

9. Studies related to tobacco, alcohol, drug, technology, gaming and gambling industry and marketing studies
